Muirfield

Muirfield

Home of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, Muirfield plays host to major professional and amateur competitions; it also happens to be one of Scotland’s most beautiful, well designed and historic links courses.

The course has changed little since its last redevelopment in 1936. However in 2008, in conjunction with the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, Muirfield have recently enlisted the services of famed golf architect Martin Hawtree to lead changes to the current design, ensuring the course provides a new challenge when it plays host to the Open Championshipin 2013.

This par 73 course is now 7,245 yards from the white tees, littered with unforgiving bunkers, and following changes over the last few winters now features tighter entrances to the well- guarded greens. Weather here is also a factor, as with most links courses, and can make the course play a lot further than the yardage would suggest.

A true classic, Muirfield is a privilege to play and although it does not feature on our standard tours we will always be happy to add it or build a bespoke tour around it.
